This 2008 Hyundai ELANTRA that I did today, I’m pretty sure it’s a $1500-$2000 car and my natural inclination is to want to only do the lower service or discount my price. But instead, I chose to offer the service at the price that is a value based price and let the client decide what they want to do. She chose the higher tier that I offer and this job was $200
Cause they buy cheap cheaper online? Maybe so. Remember that the aftermarket lights are cheaper for a reason. Actually many reasons.
As long as they’re not badly damage or have moisture inside, keeping the OEM lights is always the best option
The reason why she was adamant about paying more for this service was because she wanted to have the vehicle safe to drive at night again
(FYI - this was done with the new vapor system that Jason(owner of headlight magic) and I are about to launch)

A lot of times, if not every single time, the reason why people flinch at the “higher price“ is because you would not pay for it, they would not either. Clients are smart and consent the desperation and that you don’t believe in what you were offering
Know your worth and remember at the end of the day it’s just plastic. You are not offering just a cosmetic service but rather a safety that you were giving back to the clients.
