Got the pleasure of joining one of my great friends in alternating cold plunge and sauna on this brisk evening. I feel fantastic although a bit cold lol
What does everyone do for recovery? More importantly to reduce stress? Stress and high cortisol levels is known to contribute to fat and weight gain, and worse, can shorten your life. As someone who has functioned under high stress for years, it’s become something I’ve gotten more proactive about. Even this sauna and cold plunge, while shocking the body, the company kept and dialogue was calming and relaxing. I have found myself seeking a more peaceful and quiet life over constantly being stimulated. As I write this, wife and daughters are snuggled up in bed with me and it doesn’t get any better than this.
