Spotify says: “We’re still gathering your data.” Me: “Not today!”
Hi guitarwavers,
I just came across a neat little trick on Reddit for Spotify for Artists. Normally, when you see the dreaded “We’re still gathering your data” message, you can’t access the most recent days. Turns out—you actually can. I didn’t believe it at first, but after trying it out—it really works.
Here’s a quick step-by-step:
- Open Spotify for Artists in your web browser
- Go to the Audience tab
- Select any custom date range
- Once the data loads, go up to your browser’s address bar and manually change the start and end dates—include the most recent days that normally aren’t available
- Magic: those last days appear (see screenshot)
- Bonus: after that, you can also click through different metrics (listeners, streams, etc.) without having to edit the URL again
Not sure if this always works when Spotify is still processing or cleaning data, but right now it does. Could be especially handy for anyone here who released on Friday and is impatiently waiting to see their first streams come in (, , ).
