I sat down to practice this evening and it dawned on me how excited I was. If you would have told me 2 years ago that I would be playing actual songs, enjoying practice, and having fun... I would have never believed it. I was so lost and ready to give up. I had spent an entire year with absolutely nothing to show for it. That all changed thanks to @Jake Galambos and Guitar Gym Pro. The support The system The community Completely changed my life. I am so thankful for him and this community. Its hands down the best place to not just learn guitar but feel like you're apart of something just a little bigger than yourself. P.S. If you've read this far and your story sounds alot like mine, stick with this teacher and community. You'll be blown away at how different guitar will become for you.

Returning to guitar after 30 year break

Who are you and what you do? My name is Patrick and I’m a dermatology PA living in the Outer Banks, NC. How long have you been playing guitar? I’ve been playing guitar for 8 months and am loving the challenge. I play both acoustic and electric guitar and am addicted to playing and everything else about guitars and gear! What is your favorite song to listen to right now (or pick a few if you can't choose 1 🙃)? I have been listening to lots of Nick Drake music. My favorite song is “Horn” because I taught myself to play it.

I'm brand new to guitar. I have a creative spirit. A family member gave me an acoustic guitar as a gift and I'm finally committing to learning to play it. Music gives me peace and relaxation. Being able to create it for myself will be a blessing to my soul. I listen to alot of music. My list of favorite songs will be a work in progress. I like Santana and India Aire.
