70 year old retired learning guitar for the first time

6 weeks ago, I could barely switch between G and D without it sounding like a train wreck. Today… I played the entire Gateway Song in time — no pause, no panic. 🙌 Still not perfect, but here’s the thing: 🎯 I used to dread practice. Now I look forward to it. 👋 Hi, I’m Akshay, and I’m excited to be part of this community! I’ve decided to learn guitar because I want to write and perform my own songs. 🎶 What excites me most about playing: playing my favorite songs 🔥 The biggest challenge I’m facing right now: "what to practice" and mainly consistency of practice 🎸 About my guitar/practice space: I have an acoustic Fender 6 string Jumbo, and a Yamaha electric guitar in my room where i have my office space, and my sons' drumming kit. 📸 Here’s a picture of my guitar or practice setup!
