This morning started with a small disaster.
As soon as I arrived at the office, I spotted a huge cockroach. My soul practically left my body.
I stood there for a moment, trying to decide whether I should be brave and deal with it. In the end, I failed to gather the courage, and the cockroach made a successful escape.
After work, I headed to the gym and pushed myself to my limit. The workout was intense, and by the time I got home, I was completely drained.
After taking a shower, something unusual happened.
I fell asleep.
Not just for a few minutes, but for more than an hour.
Normally, I never sleep outside of my regular bedtime. Naps are pretty rare for me, especially on a normal weekday. But I’ve been feeling more tired than usual lately, and I guess my body finally decided it had enough.
When I woke up, I felt surprisingly refreshed.
Maybe that nap was exactly what I needed.
It’s funny how sometimes we don’t realize how exhausted we are until our body forces us to slow down and rest.
Today wasn’t particularly exciting, but it reminded me that recovery is just as important as effort.
Good night.
