I woke up to the sound of rain again this morning.
After getting dressed, I headed out feeling a little tired and stopped by McDonald’s for breakfast. After eating, I realized I had forgotten to bring my water bottle. As I started heading home to get it, I suddenly thought, maybe today should be a rest day.
I’ve been feeling more fatigued than usual, and I didn’t want to risk an injury by forcing myself through a workout. Sometimes the smarter choice is knowing when to slow down.
Back at home, I watched the Knicks play the Spurs. The second half was incredible. Watching the Knicks fight their way back into the game had my heart racing, and the comeback victory was absolutely thrilling.
Later in the afternoon, I got back to work. Something unexpected happened today—an old client I hadn’t worked with in over a year reached out and invited me to participate in a new project.
I felt genuinely honored.
Moments like that remind me that even when you’re busy focusing on the next task, the work you’ve done in the past can continue to create opportunities for you.
Work is a strange thing.
It can be stressful, frustrating, and exhausting at times. Yet somehow, it can also be deeply rewarding and meaningful.
Maybe that’s why we keep doing it.
Good night.
