dealing with crazy weather and Asparagus
Hi all; here in this crazy Colorado weather my asparagus shot up 2 feet in a week and half. Then we got snow. Before the snow, I did get drop cloth plastic over the plants after a good watering. Unfortunately the weight of the snow caused the plants to bend over at the top. Should have gotten some longer sticks to lift the plastic. Curious if anyone is an asparagus expert? Should I have done something different? I took the plastic off the next day when it got up to 65, now it's 70+ but we never plant till after Mother's Day.
