We deleted 90% of our Meta campaigns. Our sales went up.
Im Aakash i'm the Co-founder and CEO of Growthmak, I always love to share my learning and growth together sharing an insight here, hope a few find it useful We were running over a dozen campaigns at once. Separate campaigns for prospecting, retargeting, cart abandoners... you name it, we had it. My team was stuck in a constant cycle of shifting tiny budgets, tweaking audiences, and analyzing spreadsheets until our eyes blurred. We were working harder, but not necessarily smarter. The results were plateauing, and honestly, our creativity was suffering. We were so focused on the plumbing that we forgot to create compelling art. Then, we took a step back and faced a hard truth: we were fighting the algorithm, not working with it. Meta's message has been clear for a while now: embrace automation, focus on creative. So, we did something that felt terrifying at first. We turned everything off. We replaced our tangled mess with a simple, powerful, two-campaign structure: An Advantage+ Shopping Campaign (ASC): This is now our workhorse. We feed it our best-performing ads, set a budget, and let Meta's AI do the heavy lifting of finding customers across the entire funnel—from brand new eyes to ready-to-buy shoppers. A Creative Testing Campaign: This is where our human energy goes now. We run fast, controlled tests on new visuals, hooks, and offers in this separate campaign. Once we find a winner, we move it into the main ASC to scale. The result? Our ROAS improved. My team got their time back. And our creative output has never been better because we're focused on the one thing the AI can't do: coming up with brilliant ideas. The lesson for me was profound. Sometimes, letting go of granular control isn't a sign of weakness, but a strategic move toward greater efficiency and impact. Stop fighting the machine. Start feeding it. Why Your Creative Direction Matters More Than Your Targeting
A lot of founders obsess over building the “perfect audience” in Ads Manager. But here’s the truth: Meta’s algorithm is better at finding buyers than you are. Your real advantage isn’t in micromanaging targeting. It’s in dialing in the creative direction that speaks directly to your audience. When your messaging, visuals, and angles resonate, Meta pushes that content to the right people automatically. The algorithm rewards relevance. So the real question becomes: what should you actually say to your audience? Here are a few directions that consistently work: - Call out their problem directly: “Struggling to find jeans that actually fit?” - Show the transformation: “From tired, dull skin to glowing confidence in 30 days.” - Tell a relatable story: “I was sick of wasting money on supplements that did nothing. Then I tried…” - Highlight what makes you different: “Most protein powders are packed with fillers. Ours is clean, simple, and designed to fuel recovery.” - Tap into emotion: “Confidence is not a luxury. It’s something you deserve every single day.” - Leverage social proof: “Trusted by 100,000+ women who wanted skincare that actually works.” What’s one angle or story you’ve tested that hit way harder than expected?

From $50K Goal to $78K in Just 50 Days
When this leather goods brand came to us, their goal was simple: hit $50K in sales within 60 days. A tough target, but achievable with the right strategy. Here’s how it played out. We started by leaning into user-generated content. Instead of polished brand ads, we scripted and briefed creators to produce authentic content that felt real. These UGC ads became the backbone of the campaign and immediately started driving strong engagement and conversions. Next, we tightened up the retargeting. By focusing on Instagram audiences and lookalikes, we were able to pull warm traffic back into the funnel with simple static ads. The result? More people coming back to buy after their first touchpoint. But where things really clicked was the landing page. We rebuilt the Buy Box section to showcase the product with high-quality lifestyle shots of real people actually using it. That small change made a big difference in conversion rates. The final piece was keeping the campaign setup simple. We ran everything under a CBO, scaled budgets gradually every few days, and let the data guide us instead of overcomplicating things. The result? - $78K+ in sales within 50 days (beating the goal by $28K) - 641% growth compared to the previous 50 days - 146% higher sales compared to the same period last year - Over 2x ROAS from Meta ads alone Check out the full case study here This case study is a reminder that when you align creatives, retargeting, and landing page experience, growth follows.
