Who are you when no one is watching?
We all play roles. The good employee, the supportive friend, the perfect parent. We collect applause, avoid judgment, and try to be "normal."
But who are you when the applause stops and the audience goes home?
This question, inspired by Jung's work on the "shadow" and the true "Self," is the key to unlocking a deeper, more authentic and abundant life. It’s about looking at the parts of yourself you hide, not with judgment, but with curiosity.
His advice was to grow into the person you are when you're not performing.
Grow into the courage to face the fears that keep your true Self in the shadows.
One of his favourite sayings was What you don't own, owns you.
I've learned through my own journey and while working with clients that your unacknowledged fears are always at the wheel, making decisions for you.
What is one thing you would do, say, or create if you were not afraid of judgment?
Let's be brave in the comments. Your truth could be the permission slip someone else needs.
