Hey gang 👋

Today I’m sharing my top Kanto Pokémon (the original 151). Not just because they’re powerful… but because they captured the imagination of millions of fans.

And I’ve added a fun fact for each one that’s going to blow your mind 👇

🐉 Charizard

The most iconic fire dragon.

Fun fact: In the anime, Charizard often refused to listen to Ash because he hadn’t yet proven himself. It was one of the first Pokémon to really show a rebellious personality.

🐢 Blastoise

The ultimate tank with water cannons.

Fun fact: In the very first concept art, Blastoise didn’t even have cannons! They were added later to emphasize his military look.

👻 Gengar

The mischievous ghost.

Fun fact: According to the Pokédex, Gengar may actually be the shadow of a human or another Pokémon that came to life. One of the darkest origins in Gen 1.

🧠 Alakazam

The psychic master with spoons.

Fun fact: Its IQ is said to be 5000… while Einstein’s was estimated around 160. 😳

🧬 Mewtwo

The legendary clone.

Fun fact: Mewtwo was the first Pokémon ever rendered in 3D (for Pokémon Stadium on Nintendo 64). A revolution at the time!

⚡ Zapdos

The legendary electric bird.

Fun fact: Its cry in Pokémon Stadium was actually a modified sound of a 56k internet modem. The developers confirmed it years later.
