I wanted to be a teacher and a writer.

Plot twist: I'm already doing both.

I work full time as a teaching assistant. Getting my education degree on nights and weekends. Building QuilForge and running writing communities in the gaps.

Some people think I'm crazy. School plus work plus building a business? But here's the thing - it all connects. Teaching kids during the day gives me energy to teach writers at night. Every story I help a student write makes me better at helping authors finish their books.

Little me picked teacher and writer for a reason. She knew they'd feed each other.
