Step 1: Setting Up a Discord Account (THIS article also helps a lot if you're having issues!) 1. Go to discord.com and click Sign Up. 2. Enter your email, username, password, and birthday. 3. Verify your email by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox. Step 2: Joining GoodMoeJo Academy 1. Click the server invite link (provided in Skool/DMs). 2. Click “Join Server” to enter GoodMoeJo Academy! 🎉 3. Read the server rules and react with 👋 to gain access to the full server. 4. If your child is under 16, they can react to 🎈 to access Kid Corner. Step 3: Adjusting Privacy & Safety Settings 🚨 To ensure a safe experience, we highly recommend updating these settings: 1. Click on User Settings (gear icon at the bottom left). 2. Go to Privacy & Safety → Change these settings: 3. Click Done to save settings. Step 4: Reporting Issues via 🚨 Mod Mailbox If you or your child see something inappropriate or need help from a mod, here’s how to report it: 1. Go to the 🚨-mod-mailbox channel. 2. Click the “Create Thread” button at the top right. 3. Name the thread something simple (e.g., “Issue with User” or “Question about Rules”). 4. Type your message explaining the issue. 5. A moderator will respond as soon as possible to assist you. 💡 All reports are private between you and the mod team. Step 5: Understanding Server Rules & Kid Corner - Kid Corner is a safe space for young artists under 16 to chat and share art. - Parents have full visibility of Kid Corner and the rest of the server. - Moderation tools (see below) are available to parents if needed!
