Need Help Switching to Discord?

I put this together for folks needing a more in depth guide to setting up a Discord account, and how to join the GoodMoeJo Academy server. If you still need any help, or have questions about this change, please feel free to reach out to me and let me know!

Step 1: Setting Up a Discord Account (THIS article also helps a lot if you're having issues!)

Go to discord.com and click Sign Up.
Enter your email, username, password, and birthday.
Verify your email by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox.

Step 2: Joining GoodMoeJo Academy

Click the server invite link (provided in Skool/DMs).
Click “Join Server” to enter GoodMoeJo Academy! 🎉
Read the server rules and react with 👋 to gain access to the full server.
If your child is under 16, they can react to 🎈 to access Kid Corner.

Step 3: Adjusting Privacy & Safety Settings

🚨 To ensure a safe experience, we highly recommend updating these settings:

Click on User Settings (gear icon at the bottom left).
Go to Privacy & Safety → Change these settings:
Click Done to save settings.

Step 4: Reporting Issues via 🚨 Mod Mailbox

If you or your child see something inappropriate or need help from a mod, here’s how to report it:

Go to the 🚨-mod-mailbox channel.
Click the “Create Thread” button at the top right.
Name the thread something simple (e.g., “Issue with User” or “Question about Rules”).
Type your message explaining the issue.
A moderator will respond as soon as possible to assist you.

💡 All reports are private between you and the mod team.
