Welcome.
Welcome to From the Director's Chair. I am so glad you found your way here. This is a community for parents who want to understand what is really happening behind the drop off gate. No jargon, no overwhelm, just honest guidance from someone who has lived it from the inside.
Part time vs full time
Hi everyone, mum of three hereπŸ‘‹ I’m curious about something from both a parent and educator perspective. Do you notice much difference in children who attend daycare 3 days a week compared to 5 days when it comes to confidence, friendships or settling into routines?
Rules! Them rules!
From the Director's Chair Community Guidelines. This is a safe and welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences and learn together. To keep it that way there are just a few simple things we ask of everyone here. Be respectful Everyone in this community is here because they care about children and their wellbeing. We come from different backgrounds and different experiences and that is what makes this space rich. Respect that. Be curious There are no silly questions here. If something is on your mind ask it. Chances are someone else is wondering the same thing. Ask clarifying questions If you are not sure what someone means ask them to explain further before you respond. We all communicate differently and a little curiosity goes a long way. Be kind Behind every question is a person doing their best. Speak to each other the way you would want to be spoken to. Assume good intent Most people are here to learn and grow. If something lands wrong take a breath and ask before you assume.

Am I old skool? πŸ˜†
Hey community! I have been working through my content to get myself up and running and I am almost ready to drop my first module into the classroom. Before I do I wanted to pop in here and ask for some feedback , and yes I am absolutely aware of the irony of asking a Skool community if my content is too old skool. πŸ˜„ I have put together 5 modules covering everything from what quality early learning actually looks like, to understanding child behaviour, to how to talk to your centre and actually get answers. But I want to make sure I deliver it in a way that works for YOU. So tell me β€” how do you learn best? A. Short video β€” me talking you through it, 5 to 10 minutes B. PDF slides you can save and read in your own time C. Both β€” video plus a PDF to keep D. Live session where you can ask me questions directly Drop your answer below and tell me why. I genuinely want to get this right. Thank you so much for being here. 🌊
