I was walking with a dear friend, minding my own business, probably thinking about food (as usual)… when suddenly—BOOM—we saw it.
A tiny, adorable book box standing there like a little preacher on the street.
We both stopped.
I looked at it like, “Wait… is this a mini church? A snack box? A secret treasure chest?”
My friend said, “It’s a community library.”
I said, “Ohhh… so it’s like Netflix… but you walk and use your legs?” 😂
We opened it slowly like we were about to find gold…Inside: books. Just books.
No security. No cashier. No “Ma’am, you didn’t scan this item.”Just trust.
I whispered, “So… we can take one??”
My friend: “Yes.”
Me: “Legally??” 👀
Then I read the sign: “Take a book… or leave a book.”
I stood there thinking… Wow… people still trust strangers like this?Meanwhile, I can’t even trust myself around free snacks.
Then a lady walked by, smiled at us like we just discovered electricity, and said,“Isn’t it lovely?”
And suddenly—it hit me.
This tiny wooden box…Was doing something BIG.
All without Wi-Fi. No password. No updates.
Just heart.
What My Heart Felt ❤️
Lord…In a world rushing fast,You placed a tiny box to slow us down.
A simple thing… but full of meaning.A reminder that giving doesn’t have to be big to be powerful.
A smile… a book… a moment…Can touch someone’s life in ways we don’t even see.
Help me be like that little box—Open, kind, and ready to give.
Even when I feel small…Use me to make a big difference.
