This week's GMP!/Portugal Club 'Wine of The Week': A Douro Gem
Douro's 'Trinca Espinhas', from Montanha, which is very enjoyable on these hot days over here in The Bay. What does 'Trinca Espinhas' mean? Surprisngly it's NOT crisp and tasty, which would make a lot of sense!

Recent Wine Tastings
Every wine came from a local supermarket, and each bottle was under €2. The result? Excellent quality at unbeatable value! This isn’t just about wine… It’s a reflection of what makes Portugal so special. A country where lifestyle and affordability meet, offering both residents and investors an exceptional quality of life. #António Barbosa

Wine of The Week (w/e 21-09-25) - Fidalgo de Silgueiros Branco
I am definitely becoming a DAO-ist after a shaky start, back in 2020, in the early days of the wine club. However, with the encouragement of Sergio at Red Notes, my local wine shop in São Martinho Do Porto - from where each weekly recommendation comes - my conversion is near complete! This one - Fidalgo de Silgueiros Branco - was delicious last night (still loving the whites in Autumn) after a long day, alongside a delicious chicken dish made by @Louisa Munson 😍🍷🐔 Also of note: The word 'Fidalgo' is worth looking up from a cultural perspective.
