Question about Licensing

I don't know if this is allowed, I hope it is because I don't want to get into trouble, but I feel like I've looked everywhere and haven't gotten a straight answer, I'm desperate at this point.

I live in Texas; do I need a license or obtain a certificate to become a self-employed dispatcher? Every time I look it up on Google it'll say either "Yes", "No", or "Maybe" then says, "Depending on your state." even though I include that my state is "Texas". It's been an absolute headache.
