I had such a lovely day with one of the horses I take care of that I felt was worth sharing. I was listening to some of Zoë’s podcast episodes and it got me feeling more confident. I often worry about being judged at the yard, especially by people who seem to “have it all together” I’m a very sensitive person so it’s hard to shut the world out and focus. but today I held my head up high and just did my thing. Huyen (the mare I worked with today) seemed to pick up on the positive energy and looked super happy and calm. She’s a very tense and alert horse and I’ve been a bit afraid to do things with her by myself so today was such a big step forward 💗 The warmer weather definitely helped too! 😙

Gravy is looking more drafty and starting toget feather besides that we started clicker training mixed with liberty and not even 5 minutes thing incredible girl figured it out we started with her following me when she heard the click then a treat when she came then we tried backing furst started with preasure when she backed i clicked and gave a treat did the backing like twice more the third time didnt even need pressure asked to back and lifted the lead and steped towards her and she backed and i coupdnt be prouder then we tried something bit more tricky heilding the hind quaters you guys this girl i pointed and her booty standing at her shoulder furst was a bit unsure then instant snap and she understood no pressure just waiting for process and she sdid both ways aaaaah im so happy today coupd not have gone any better and im quite literally obsessed with this amazing filly i had an ottb who sadly had to be sold when we lost this farm me and the ottb were inserperable right but even with this filly i feel the strongest connection ever and ive had about 9 horses in my 17 years of competing bot by choice by rules some were ponies and others were horses and soem were honies but this filly is my absolute dream dare i say HEART HORSE I dont know how i ever lived without her and i cannot picture a life without this amazing girl
