✨ If Anything Were Possible…What Would You Teach Your Horse?
Let’s dream a little - if skill, time, and confidence weren’t in the way… What ā€œmagicalā€ things would you love to teach your horse? Things like: • Lay down on cue • Sit • Liberty in a large open space • Spanish walk • Rear • Bridleless riding • Piaffe • Flying changes that feel effortless • School Halt • A calm, confident solo hack anywhere • Trick training just for fun Sometimes we stop ourselves before we even begin and maybe think: ā€œThat’s too advanced.ā€ ā€œThat’s for professionals.ā€ šŸ‘‰ But here’s the thing… Horses can learn so much and often far more than we imagine, and so can you. And partnership expands when our vision does. So tell me - what feels a little bit magical to you right now? Drop your dream skill below šŸ‘‡ Let’s see what kind of magic we’re building here! 🐓✨🫶

I always dreamt of riding brideless, and now I that my horses are actually responsponding better without the bit, the next step will be with a neck rope šŸ˜Ž I would love to teach Zazu the piaffe and flying changes, and i am almost certain, if i put my mind to it, bronco will be able to do the lay down on cue before Christmas šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ‘Œ And for Zeus, definitely the Spanish walk someday It’s so funny, when i just started with Zoe, last year august i think, my goal for zazu was to lift all 4 feet confidently, i was terrified of this horse, and looking back now, that was a huge dream and almost felt impossible, but look at us now šŸ„°ā€¦there is power in writing down your dreams šŸ¦„šŸŖ„

@Reiki Ranch if you can dream it, you can definitely achieve it, horsemanship has really taught me that 🄰
🐓 What Are You Starting To Get Good At?
Not mindset. Not breathing. Not regulation. šŸ‘‰ Actual skill. From the Groundwork to Liberty Checklist…or something you weren’t even attempting a few months ago. What are you starting to get good at? Is it: • Backing up with feel instead of force? • A consistent space clearance? • Leading without crowding? • Sending out and around with clarity? • Liberty circles with intention instead of luck? • Standing quietly to mount? Horses can learn so much. If your dreams for them aren’t big enough, they’ll live inside those limits. Everyone starts from scratch somewhere. Everyone. The only difference between ā€œadvancedā€ and ā€œbeginnerā€ is time, repetition, and someone deciding to raise the bar. So maybe now is a good time to check in: Are there any limiting beliefs creeping in? ā€œI’m not ready for that.ā€ ā€œMy horse isn’t that type.ā€ ā€œThat’s for other people.ā€ Or are you building foundations toward some seriously cool results and partnership? Tell me one skill you’re starting to get good at - or one you’ve decided to stop avoiding. Let’s expand the horizon a little. love Zoë🐓✨🫶

Bronco is seriously getting good at the first 30 exercises of groundwork to liberty 🄰 i am so proud of him, to think only 6 months ago i took these horses out of the field, and i am their first human contact again in 7 yrs, and we have come so far….thank you @ZoĆ« Coade for giving me the tools to help these horses become the best version of themselves.

🐓 What Did You STOP Doing That Made Your Horsemanship Better?
We’re always talking about what we need to add. More relaxation. More confidence. More consistency. More suppleness. More exposure. But here’s the twist… What’s one thing you stopped doing that actually improved your horse? Sometimes progress doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from removing pressure, ego, tension, or overthinking. So tell me šŸ‘‡ What did you STOP doing…that changed something? Love ZoĆ« 🐓✨🫶

I stopped expecting too much from myself and of them. I’ve always been a very high achiever, and always pushing progress and making things happen coming from the business world. I quickly realised with horses there is no place for that, and every day i just start with…. What am i capable of doing? And what are they capable of giving me? And yes @Cheg Darlington also becoming quieter. I’ve noticed the quitier i got the more present i became šŸ«¶šŸ»

Bronco is Bronx and sometimes ā€œboudeā€ā€¦referring to his round hiney (in afrikaans of course) 🫣 Zazu is my nu-nu (because she is a girl 🄰) and also lady jane or queen bee, Zeus is most of the time Zeusy and Lulu is Lucy Lu or Pony because she is so small

My win for the week was when i led Zeus out to turnout this morning. I always walk a zig zag, do a few back ups and shoulder yields on our way so that he doesn’t get too excited when we get to the gate and he just wants to pull away and run off…the lesson is, freedom awaits when we are collected and organised. We did the whole routine without him trying to invade my space or push me around this morning, so that was a major win for me 🄳
