Am I Too Late to Start Seeds Indoors in Zone 6b (Cleveland)?
Last year was my first time gardening and it went really well, my eggplants, multiple pepper varieties, and onions all took off. I ended up freezing a lot and had food for months.
This year, I wanted to step it up and grow from seed using seed from freeheirloomseeds.org that I got a while back, instead of buying seedlings. The problem is… I haven’t started anything indoors yet.
I’m in Cleveland (Zone 6b), and I feel like I might be running late. I do have grow lights, but I’ve never started seeds indoors before, so I’m not sure where to begin at this point in the season.
Can I still start seeds indoors now? If so:
  • What should I start immediately?
  • What’s not worth starting this late?
  • Any quick setup tips for grow lights and seed starting?
Appreciate any guidance—still learning, but trying to do this smarter this year.
