Last year was my first time gardening and it went really well, my eggplants, multiple pepper varieties, and onions all took off. I ended up freezing a lot and had food for months.
This year, I wanted to step it up and grow from seed using seed from freeheirloomseeds.org that I got a while back, instead of buying seedlings. The problem is… I haven’t started anything indoors yet. I’m in Cleveland (Zone 6b), and I feel like I might be running late. I do have grow lights, but I’ve never started seeds indoors before, so I’m not sure where to begin at this point in the season.
Can I still start seeds indoors now? If so:
- What should I start immediately?
- What’s not worth starting this late?
- Any quick setup tips for grow lights and seed starting?
Appreciate any guidance—still learning, but trying to do this smarter this year.
