I rebranded the community name from "Games of Life Engine" to "Systems of Life Engine". I always felt that the previous name was too limiting - it put too much attention to the "game" part: gamification, game techniques etc. Although gamification is an important part of the equation, it shouldn't be placed in the foreground. It's rather a background detail. Here is a meaning of each words in the name: System - a group of interrelated, interdependent elements or components that work together as a unified whole, often with a common purpose or function. Life - the focus is put mostly on self-development, that is "single-player" systems that you use for your own benefits. Higher-level "multi-player" systems can also be part of this community but not right now. Engine - there are several system patterns that works. You can apply these patterns to create a system with a specific goal e.g. losing weight or master certain skill. Finding and describing such system patterns is an important goal of this community.

I reactivated the community. The community contains the following courses in Classrom section (far from being finished - I will be improving them steadily when I will have some inspiration). - Gamifying Life Theory - very abstract articles how gamification of life can be divided: task games, metric games and what gamification method should contain to be motivating & effective - System Designs - overview of some life gamification systems, pages & apps - Rewards - how to gamify granting yourself rewards for doing things in real life

I published a course Gamifying Life Theory which is a migration of my posts written in previous weeks. I will be updating and impvoring it regularly. I will also publish "Resources" classroom with collection of all references and sources about gamification of life: books, videos, posts, communities, apps etc.

Gamifying Life Theory - introducing different gamification concepts 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 1. Gamifying Life with Notion - tutorial how one can gamify life with Notion 2. Gamifying Life with Spreadsheets - tutorial how one can gamify life with spreadsheets 3. Gamifying Life with Apps - tutorials on how one can gamify life with different existing apps (listed in this post): Habitica etc. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 1. Total Gamification - about systems that gamify the whole life 2. Sport & Health Gamification - how to gamify being more sporty and healthy 3. Social Skills Gamification - how to gamify aspects of communication/interaction with other people 4. Work Gamification - how to gamify work or working on your business 5. Spiritual Gamification - how to gamify gaining internal peace & happiness, mindfulness etc. 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 1. Rewards - how to reward yourself for doing things 2. Mindset Gamification - a part of gamification of life where a lot of motivation comes from imagination e.g. you are a hero in your game of life 3. Narrative Gamification - gamification of life where the important aspect is to create a story and interesting situations Apart from it there should be a whole playlist of different life game designs. There are so many apps designed to gamify life. I started to lose track of how many of them exist. I would like to have everything listed in one place. Every comment in this post should be about a different app (or some plugin like template for Notion). It should have a name + link where to get it.
