Volturon Update Available
We've just released an updated version of the Volturon strategy file, available for download now from volturon.com/software-downloads.
⚠️ Important: One Extra Step Required After Import
Because this update includes changes to the strategy's internal parameter structure, you must reset the strategy settings after importing the new file. If you skip this step, the strategy may run with stale or mismatched parameter values from the previous version, which can lead to unexpected behavior.
How to Reset (Takes 5 Seconds):
- Import the updated Volturon file into NinjaTrader 8 as you normally would (Control Center → Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On).
- Open the Volturon strategy in the Strategies tab or on a chart so the Properties panel is visible.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Properties panel.
- In the lower-right corner, you'll see a small row of links: template » save | load | reset
- Click "reset" (see attached screenshots — the pink arrow points directly to it).
- Confirm when prompted. This will restore all parameters to the new default values baked into this release.
- From there, adjust any user-specific settings (session times, contract size, etc.) to your preference and save as a template if desired.
The two attached screenshots show exactly where the "reset" link is located in the Properties panel — it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it, so please take a quick glance before performing the import.
Why This Matters: Resetting ensures that the default values we've tuned for this release are properly loaded into your instance. Without the reset, NT8 may retain cached values from the prior version, which defeats the purpose of the upgrade.
