Tracking my FB reel from posting until views stopped
I made a reel yesterday quite quickly , reshot it once and posted as is. Nothing fancy. Just testing the hook. 37s long. I tracked the views over a period of time and gave chat gpt updates on a regular basis. I was asked to give updates at certain times eg: wait 1 minute and check views, wait 15 mins, wait 1 hour close the up then check again etc. Also check for likes, comments and clicks. It was a long operation and i can send the full transcript if anyone would like it.
It helped me understand the algorithm much better. The post was initially tested on a small group. If successful it opens up the audience until the next level and so on. My post got to 200 views quite quickly ticking the right boxes but didnt get past the 4s view mark. It also surpassed my previous high which means something to the algorithm. At 300 views it slowed down but has a "slow burn success, a trust level and a retention win.
Essentially my post has hit the niche audience but not captivating enough to hold them. Ive adjusted hooks for a reel today and tomorrow and will follow closely. I must point out it suggests the audience likes the "visual hooks"........ must be my film star good looks 🤣
