Making a PayPal payment

Hi there - I need some assistance with my PayPal setup.

As strongly advised in the Starter Training I did not link my bank account to PayPal via the PayPal portal. I linked the two via my FNB profile

In the lesson PAYPAL + SA BANK (UNIVERSAL SETUP SYSTEM) the following is given

✅ FULL SETUP (WORKS FOR ANY SA BANK)

🔹 STEP 1: Add your bank card to PayPal

Inside PayPal:

Go to Wallet

Click Link a card

Add your debit/credit card

Save

I did this for my Capitec card in the PayPal portal

I did a first payment on PayPal just to ensure the system is functioning as it should. But it is not. Capitec call center said they do not endorse PayPal - but I think she was misunderstanding that I know that getting money out of PayPal is only possible via FNB.

But I do believe you can link you SA Bank card on PayPal to make purchases.

Now my question(s)

Am I doing something wrong?

Is there any one here that has linked their Capitec card on PayPal to make make successful purchase transactions? (my next guess is that although Capitec is a Mastercard it is only a debit card)

Any suggestions would be appreciated?
