For the past few weeks, my mom has been visiting us in South Africa. ( Haven`t seen my Mom in 3 Years)
The last time I saw her was 3 years ago, so every moment felt precious. From coffee chats and shared meals to simply sitting together and catching up on life, I wanted to soak up every minute.
At the same time, my Funnel Junkies business didn't stop.
I'll be honest—it wasn't always easy.
There were moments when I felt pulled in two directions:
❤️ Be fully present with my mom.
💻 Keep showing up for my business, my community, and my goals.
What this experience reminded me is that building an online business isn't about working 24/7.
It's about creating something flexible enough to support the life you want to live.
Some days I worked early mornings.
Some days I squeezed in tasks between family plans.
Some days I did less than usual—and that's okay.
The business kept moving forward because I had systems, consistency, and a clear vision.
The biggest lesson?
Success isn't measured only by income or achievements.
Sometimes success is being able to spend precious time with the people you love without having to put your dreams on hold.
I'm incredibly grateful for the memories we've made and proud that I continued building my future at the same time.
Question for the community:
Have you ever had to balance a major family commitment while building your business? What did it teach you?
