"Isn't juicing/blending a food-altering process like cooking food?"
Someone asked me this question today, so I thought I'd share my thoughts...
Juicing and blending may be a type of "process" but it does not alter the food itself. It's completely different than cooking. Cooking draws out water, destroys most vitamins and nutrients, and kills all enzymes which help us break down food.
The most natural way to consume fruits is to eat them whole, but we have to remember we live in an extremely unnatural world!
It takes having tools like a juicer to help us overcome the severe damage a SAD diet has caused.
Some people are at a stage where they cannot even digest food at all without severe pain, and juicing is the only way they can begin to heal and clean out their gut.
Ultimately juicers and blenders are TOOLS that can help us overcome food addictions, make healthier meals, and heal our bodies. I personally think they are amazing and make life and eating more fun!
