Day 20. We're at 64. 🎉
Let's address the elephant in the room first. 10 days left. 36 members needed. I'm probably not going to hit 100. 😂
I'm calling it now so we can all move on and focus on what's actually interesting here 😉
Numbers: Members: 64 | Engagement: 78% | Discovery rank: 2,050 | Conversion rate: 16.7% | Days left: 10 | Still needed: 36
The wins this week:
Discovery rank down to 2,050 from 2,238. Still moving in the right direction even in a quieter week.
Conversion rate up to 16.7% from 13.4%. More people visiting the page are actually joining. The about page work is paying off.
I got the 🔥
Which leads me to my favourite moment of this whole experiment. I've been doing a 30-day challenge to hit 10 Skool actions every day to keep my business momentum going, this started before I created this membership but I actually had no idea what I was entering. It came from joining a challenge in another skool group (The Solopreneur Initiative) but I've got to be honest, I thought I was joining just "do 10 actions each day on skool to grow" and the 🔥 emoji was just signifying that we were taking actions and were obviously awesome 😂... 6 days into the challenge and I finally realised that "get the FIRE" is an actual Skool achievement for doing exactly that and getting that 🔥 beside your name. I had accidentally entered a challenge I didn't even know existed and got part way through before I really knew what I was doing. 😂 The "ohhh duh" moment was very real. At least I caught up in time! 🫣
The real update:
I've been less active in other Skool communities this week because I've been heads down setting up the June bundle and recruiting contributors. Something had to give.
I'm also part of a bundle right now with the From Job to CEO framework as a free resource and I've had 40+ new subscribers have come through it in the last 3 days. I realised this morning I never included the Skool community link in the welcome email for those people. Updated it now but with 2 days left on that bundle... could have done better. 🙈
Classic example of building while running. Things get missed. You fix them and keep going.
What's actually working:
Every time I show up consistently in other communities the rank moves and new people find their way here. Every time I go quiet it slows down. The data is very clear on this even if I keep ignoring it. 😅
The real experiment conclusion forming:
Getting to 100 in 30 days without a launch event or a large existing audience is genuinely hard. The bundle gave me a spike. The crawl gave me a spike. Organic daily engagement is a slow burn.
The more interesting question isn't whether I hit 100 it's what the rank and conversion rate look like on day 30 and whether this community has built something worth staying for.
78% engagement on 64 members tells me the people who are here are actually showing up. That matters more than the number. So thank you everyone for joining, connecting and continuing to come back and engage.
10 days left. Let's see what happens. 🧪
What's one thing you've accidentally done that turned out to be exactly the right move? 👇
