Cargo Van Class 1 man 1 van vs Fleet
In General, a fleet will financially operate at less than half the cost you will. Making it very hard to compete with them on the local contracted, dedicated freight market from a price perspective.
Another thing that you have to remember is a local consistent route that happens everyday and pays an amount to make you profitable means that the customer is looking for NO interruption in service.
The shipper wants to be with someone who has a backup (Fleet).
Even if you tell them I never get sick, my van is new it’s not going to break down, my kids have perfect attendance I never have to stay home.
You are at a disadvantage as a 1 man 1 van company.
