As we discussed today, many organizations are already using AI tools without having clear guardrails in place. A few of you asked whether there were templates you could start from, so I pulled together two practical frameworks to share. The first is a more formal, executive-level policy intended for leadership adoption. The second is a simplified version written for general staff. Together they address the areas that seem to create the most uncertainty right now, including sensitive data, client authorization, meeting transcription tools, and accountability for AI-generated outputs. The goal is not to restrict AI, but to bring structure and clarity to something that is already happening in most organizations.
I am sharing these as PDF documents because many organizations block or restrict Microsoft Word files by default for security reasons. If you would like an editable Word version to tailor for your organization, I am happy to provide one upon request.
Feel free to adapt them to your own regulatory, contractual, and operational environment, and let me know how I can assist!
