Momentum isn't just about doing more. It's about doing less of what doesn't matter.
Here's what I've noticed after one week together:
𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀.
You've got the drive. You've got the ideas. What's killing your momentum is that you're spreading that energy across too many things — some old, some brand new — instead of concentrating it on the one thing that would actually change your situation.
Every "yes" to something new is a "no" to the thing you already committed to.
Thursday is about subtracting. So drop a comment:
- 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆:
- 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁: (excitement? avoidance? someone else suggested it? it felt easier?)
- 𝗔𝗺 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗺𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲?
If you didn't add anything new — great. Then use this prompt instead:
- 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜'𝗺 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸:
- 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲:
- 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲:
The gap between where you are and where you want to be isn't going to be closed by adding more. It's going to be closed by doing fewer things with more intention.
Let go of something today.
