I had a client come to our office in search of a new Auto Insurance rate because Progressive has gone up drastically. Through an unfortunate recent event her husband passed away untimely a couple of weeks ago, and all the vehicles are titled in his name only although they were married. While trying to bind coverage as herself as the only policy holder although they were married the carrier would not let her bind coverage without the title being in her name. The saving grace is she does have the death certificate and she is taking the steps to get the vehicles titled in her name.
