Spend $ on joy
One of those things for me is gardening 👣
Do I need to put in a garden at this rental house? Do I need to preserve land isnt "truly mine" ?
No.
Does it bring me joy to be out, playing in the dirt & conserving some wild flowers to help the bees?
Yes!!
So that's what I did today.
The landscaper is coming tomorrow to mow....and I was having mixed feelings about cutting all these flowers, even though they are technically weeds & so disorganized.
Instead, I put a fence around the area where I had already planted lavendar & rosemary, where the wildflowers are in abundance. I put in 2 types of salvia, rosemary and blanket flower** (not sun blast 😂😂).
And by "bee problem", I mean, my dog for stung one night, swelled up like a balloon and got covered in hives. The 'lax approach to my yard all of a sudden became a priority, but I didn't want to disprupt the ecosystem completely.
Long story long, spend your hard earned money on things that bring you joy & peace. Because at the end of the day, what's the point of it all? Isn't the goal everyday to find contentment?
