Washing the rig
If you spent anytime catching fish in a kayak or bass boat, you know that deck padding can get pretty raunchy. I like to mixed a bucket of water and dish soap with a nylon brush and wash mitt to get the grunge off. Sometimes I’ll soak the whole thing down with a heavy cleaner like Purple Power or simple green.
I know people like adding a protectant like 303 but I tend to replace my decals every so often when I jack them up and like them to stick, so I never have.
