🎸 Welcome – Start Here (Read Me First)
Hi, Welcome to the Fingerstyle Learners Group — it's great to have you here. This group was created to help beginner and intermediate players improve their fingerstyle guitar one step at a time, without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you're completely new to fingerstyle or returning to the guitar after a break, you're in the right place. 📚 Where To Start Head over to the Classroom tab at the top of the group. Inside you'll find: • This week's Tab Of The Week • This week's Exercise Of The Week • My collection of free learning materials • Beginner tips and tutorials My advice is simple: start with the Tab Of The Week and Exercise Of The Week. They're updated regularly and are the quickest way to start improving your fingerstyle playing. 🎥 Video Lessons You'll also find video lessons from my fingerstyle tab library. Many members use these videos alongside their tabs to help them learn songs faster, improve their technique and stay motivated. 💬 Get Involved One of the best things about this group is the community. Please introduce yourself and let me know: • Your current playing level • The songs you'd love to learn • What you're working on right now • Any questions you're stuck on Don't be afraid to ask beginner questions. If something doesn't make sense to you, there's a good chance other members are wondering the same thing. In fact, I've recently started creating regular Beginner Questions posts based on questions from members, so your question might end up helping dozens of other players too. 🎵 Want More Tabs Every Week? If you're enjoying the free materials, you might be interested in my new Fingerstyle Tab Club. I created it after speaking to members who wanted access to my new tabs and exercises each week but didn't necessarily need a full premium membership. For just $7 per month — less than $2 per week and about the price of a coffee — you'll get access to exclusive weekly tab bundles that include: • Full and Easy Versions of new songs • Beginner-friendly arrangements

🎸 New This Week – Please Mr. Postman
Hi everyone, Apologies for being a little quiet over the last few days. My two-year-old ended up in hospital with a nasty vomiting virus, so it's been a slightly hectic week! Thankfully, everything is sorted now and he's doing much better, so back to business. I'll also be catching up with all your comments over the weekend. 🎵 This Week's New Fingerstyle Tab This week's new arrangement is Please Mr. Postman. Originally a number-one Motown hit for The Marvelettes, The Beatles recorded their own version for With The Beatles in 1963. It's a great early pop song with an instantly recognisable melody that works really nicely on fingerstyle guitar. As usual, I've created Full and Easy versions, so you can choose the arrangement that best suits your playing. If you're new here, I write at least one new fingerstyle arrangement every week, along with exercises, arpeggios and other materials to help improve your playing. I give away a selection of those materials here in the free group, but all of my new tabs are added to the Fingerstyle Guitar School. 🎸 Ready to Take Your Fingerstyle Further? If you're enjoying the free tabs but want to start making more consistent progress, I'd love you to try the School. Rather than jumping from one random YouTube lesson to another, you'll have somewhere to: ✅ Start with arrangements that match your ability ✅ Progress from simpler versions towards complete fingerstyle pieces ✅ Work on the specific techniques that are holding you back ✅ Learn through songs you actually enjoy playing ✅ Follow structured courses as I continue adding new video lessons ✅ Get new material to practise every week And, of course, you'll also get immediate access to my complete back catalogue of 400+ fingerstyle arrangements. You don't need to decide whether it's for you beforehand. Try the entire Fingerstyle Guitar School free for 7 days. Come inside, download Please Mr. Postman, try a few other arrangements and courses, and see whether it helps your playing.
🎸 This Week’s Free Tabs – Dirty Old Town + Stand By Me
Hey everyone, This week’s new fingerstyle material is ready, and I’ve picked two tabs to give away here in the free group: 🎵 Dirty Old Town – Full Fingerstyle Version ⭐ FREE 🎸 Stand By Me – Easy Playalong Arpeggios ⭐ FREE You’ll find both in the Free Weekly Fingerstyle Tab Bundle in the Classroom. If you’re new here, I rotate the free materials every week. Download anything you like while it’s available and it’s yours to keep. Dirty Old Town is a complete solo fingerstyle arrangement, bringing the melody, bass and harmony together on one guitar. Stand By Me is part of my Playalong Arpeggio series. Rather than learning the melody, you play a repeating fingerpicking pattern along with the music – a great way to work on your picking accuracy, timing and coordination. 🎸 What Would Your Fingerstyle Library Look Like? One of the reasons I created the Fingerstyle Guitar School was because I know how much easier it is to practise when you have music you're genuinely excited about playing. Inside the School, I've built a library of 400+ fingerstyle arrangements, covering everything from The Beatles and Bob Dylan to folk, blues, classical music and plenty more. But I don't want you to think about it as 400 tabs. Think about the 10, 20 or 30 songs in there that YOU would love to be able to play. That's what I'd suggest doing with the 7-day free trial. Come inside and spend a few minutes exploring the Back Catalogue. Search for your favourite artists. Pick out the songs that immediately make you think: “I've always wanted to play that.” Then build yourself your own little fingerstyle library. You'll find Full & Easy arrangements, Level 1 & Level 2 beginner versions, Playalong Arpeggios, exercises and courses, so you can choose material that actually suits where you are with your playing. And because it's a 7-day free trial, you can have a proper look around and try the material before deciding whether membership is right for you. 🎸 Start your 7-day free trial and build your fingerstyle library: https://www.skool.com/fingerstyleguitarschool/about
⏰ Last Chance – This Week’s Free Fingerstyle Tabs
Hey everyone, Just a quick reminder that today is the last day to download this week's free fingerstyle tabs before I switch them over for a new collection. This week's free downloads are: 🎵 Love Me Do – Full Fingerstyle Version 🎵 Brown Eyed Girl – Level 1 Beginner Version You'll find both inside the Free Weekly Fingerstyle Tab Bundle in the Classroom. The free materials change every week, but anything you download while it's available is yours to keep, so make sure you grab them today if you want them! 🎸 Enjoying the Free Tabs? Try the Next Step If you've downloaded Brown Eyed Girl Level 1, this is also a great opportunity to see how my progressive arrangements work. Level 1 strips the song back to its distinctive melody, played one note at a time. It's designed to give newer fingerstyle players a manageable starting point. Then Level 2 takes that same melody and starts adding bass and harmony notes, gradually moving you towards the sound of a complete fingerstyle arrangement. The Level 2 version is waiting for you inside the Fingerstyle Guitar School. And that's really what I want the School to help you do: not simply collect more tabs, but make genuine progress with your fingerstyle playing. You'll have simpler arrangements to start with, more challenging versions to work towards, exercises to improve your technique, structured courses, and new material to keep you progressing every week. Plus, you'll get immediate access to my complete back catalogue of 400+ fingerstyle arrangements. You can try the whole thing with a 7-day free trial. My suggestion? Download Brown Eyed Girl Level 1 today, then start the trial and see if you can progress to Level 2. While you're inside, explore the rest of the School and see what else you'd like to learn. 🎸 Start your 7-day free trial here: https://www.skool.com/fingerstyleguitarschool/about But first, make sure you grab Love Me Do and Brown Eyed Girl Level 1 today before they're replaced!
