New Free Materials Coming Tomorrow
Hey, I’m going to make a small change to the free materials schedule. From now on, I’ll be uploading both the free song tab and the free exercise together every Monday. That means you’ll get everything in one go, and I won’t have to keep pestering you with extra emails during the week! I actually decided this yesterday and I’m still finishing this week’s videos, so just for this week everything will be available tomorrow instead. After that, Mondays will be the new regular release day. This is also a good reminder that the free songs and exercises are only available on a weekly rotation, so make sure you download last week’s materials today — once they’re replaced tomorrow, they’re gone for good. FYI — if you’d rather not mess around with downloading weekly freebies and just want full access to everything straight away, you can become a full member here: Thanks, Jack
New Fingerstyle Tab - Play Me by Neil Diamond
Hey, It’s Friday, so that means it’s time for your new fingerstyle tab — and this week it’s Play Me by Neil Diamond. I actually didn’t know this song before it was requested, but after spending some time arranging it, I can completely understand why so many people love it. It works beautifully on fingerstyle guitar, with a flowing melody and chord progression that are really enjoyable to play. You can listen to both tab videos below to hear the arrangement in action. If you’d like the PDFs and Guitar Pro files, they’re available to members inside the full library here. Membership also gives you access to my entire back catalogue of tabs, exercises, course books, and all future releases as they’re added. If memberships aren’t really your thing, I’ve also made everything available as a one-time purchase here: I hope you enjoy this week’s arrangement, and have a great weekend. Jack
7 Dreamy Arpeggios (New Exercise Pack)
Hey, This week’s new fingerstyle exercise is ready, and we’re going back to arpeggios… but with a slightly different feel. These 7 arpeggios all have a more dreamy, atmospheric sound, created by using chord variations like maj7, m7, sus2, and sus4. Don’t worry if those sound complicated — in most cases, it just means taking a finger off or adding one to a chord shape you already know. Small changes, but they make a big difference to the overall sound. Inside the pack you’ll find: - All 7 arpeggios from the video - Simplified versions for beginners You’ll find everything in the Classroom tab. Any questions, just let me know 👍 Jack
DADGAD Tuning
Hey All! Is there any interest in learning songs using DADGAD tuning? It’s a great sound (Appalachian and Celtic) and works well with finger style guitar (Reference Al Pettaway’s “Wayfaring Stranger” and “Sligo Creek”). Would love some lessons on DADGAD songs or at least some chord progression samples (like the blues). Thanks Jeff
