🎸 New Fingerstyle Tab – Boys Don't Cry + 3 New Live Lessons Next Week!
Hey everyone! This week's new fingerstyle arrangement is one of my personal favourites, Boys Don't Cry by The Cure! I've created both Full and Easy versions, and I've linked the videos to this post so you can have a listen. But I've also got a bigger announcement... 🎸 Live Fingerstyle Lessons Are Back Next Week! Starting next week, I'll be running three live fingerstyle classes every week, each lasting roughly 30 minutes. The plan is to have three different types of lessons running alongside one another: - Practical Music Theory – understand how music works and how to apply it to your guitar. - Fingerstyle Exercises – build your technique, coordination and confidence with progressive exercises. - Learn a Song – put everything into practice by learning actual fingerstyle arrangements. My aim is to give you a clear path to improving your playing, rather than leaving you wondering what to practise next. And we've got three great lessons lined up for our first week! 🎼 Lesson 1 – Unlock the Guitar Fretboard Ever wondered why the notes on your guitar are where they are? We'll start right at the beginning, looking at how musical notes work and how you can use that knowledge to work out the name of every note on your guitar fretboard. No complicated theory or unnecessary jargon. Just practical knowledge that will help you understand your instrument. 🎸 Lesson 2 – 14 Fingerstyle Arpeggios I've put together a collection of 14 progressive fingerstyle arpeggios: - 7 easy patterns to develop your basic technique. - 7 intermediate patterns to take things a step further. The exercises are connected, so each one helps prepare you for the next. It's a great way to build your picking skills gradually rather than jumping straight into something too difficult. 🎵 Lesson 3 – A Beautiful Fingerstyle Piece Using Just One Finger! Hey Everyone, I'm on the last leg of my trip to Ireland and I'm currently in a little cottage with very bad wifi and no phone signal. I've tried and I'm not able to upload the materials.
