What’s Stopping You From Creating Right Now?
Hey SOFA fam —It’s been really energizing to see so much life in this group lately. All the drawings, process posts, design shares… it's inspiring.
But I’ve gotta be honest — these past few weeks have been tough for me creatively. My day job has been demanding, and by the time I finally get a moment to myself, I feel too drained to sketch or finish a drawing.
I always tell others to “just get in some reps,” even if it’s only 10 minutes. But lately, I’ve been struggling to follow that advice myself. I haven’t felt the motivation, and that’s hard to admit.
So I’m putting this out there —Do you ever feel like this too? When the inspiration just isn’t there, when life gets overwhelming… what helps you push through? What gets you back to the page?
Would love to hear your thoughts — maybe we can all learn a little something from each other.
