It's OK to Talk Money!
Don't shy away from conversations about money. It's important. If you've been quiet in this community because you're hesitant to have financial conversations, take a step this weekend. Just one quick comment, a short question, anything that gets your money conversation rolling.
Weekend Money Lab 💰
Okay… we’re not making money this weekend. We’re finding it. 😊 Because here’s the truth I keep coming back to: Finding $100 is just as powerful as earning $100. And honestly… it’s usually faster. So here’s our little weekend game: Where is $100 quietly slipping away? Not in a shamey way. Just in a curious, “ohhh there you are” kind of way. A few places it loves to hide: → subscriptions we forgot about → auto renewals we never questioned → those quick Amazon or Target “adds” → paying for two things that do the same job Your turn 💛 -Take 10 minutes. -Open your bank or subscriptions. -Find $100. -Cancel it, pause it, and clean it up. Then come back and tell us: What did you find? What did you change? Let’s make this fun and do it together.

Money is such a weird thing
I caught myself saying “I can’t afford that” the other day. And it didn’t feel true. Because I could afford it. I just didn’t want to spend money on it. That’s different. “I can’t afford it” feels heavy. Closed. Like there’s nothing I can do. But “that’s not a priority right now”… feels honest. And strangely… lighter. It puts me back in the driver’s seat. I think a lot of us use “I can’t afford it” when what we really mean is: • I’m choosing something else • I’m not ready to spend on that • I don’t value that enough right now And there’s no shame in that. But the words we use matter. One keeps you stuck. The other reminds you that you’re choosing. And that’s where your power is. Curious… What’s something you’ve told yourself you “can’t afford”…that might actually just not be a priority right now? 👇

Every dollar has a job
Not a vague dream. Not a hope. A job. When money lands in your account, it is waiting for direction. If you do not give it one, it will quietly find its own. Usually through convenience. Or emotion. Or habit. But when you pause and decide on purpose, something shifts. This dollar is for groceries. This dollar is for future Sybil. This dollar is for the mountain trip. This dollar is for investing. This dollar is for giving. Now your money is not random. It is aligned. There is something deeply calming about telling your money where to go before it disappears. It turns stress into clarity. It turns guilt into intention. This is not about restriction. It is about leadership. You are the boss of your household. You are the boss of your dollars. Tonight, try this: Before you spend anything, ask yourself, what job is this dollar doing? If it has a job you believe in, spend it confidently. If it does not, give it a better one. It is a good day to have a good day.
