There’s something about this time of year that feels a little like a transition. Summer is winding down. Vacations are ending. Kids are heading back to school. Routines are starting to return. And maybe your finances could use a little attention too. Maybe you’ve spent a little more than usual this summer. Maybe you haven’t looked at your budget in a while. Maybe you’ve been telling yourself, I’ll get back on track soon. If this sounds familiar, I have a note: You don’t need to wait until January to make a fresh start. Sometimes you just need to pause and ask: - Where am I right now? - What’s working? - What’s no longer working? - What needs a little attention? A reset doesn’t mean you’ve failed or that you’ve been “bad” with money. It just means it’s time to take a look at your finances, figure out where you are and the changes you’d like to make to get you headed in the direction you want to be going. And honestly? September is a pretty great time to do that. It’s just before the holiday spending starts and the end-of-year rush kicks in. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to talk about what it looks like to reset your money and get back on track without making things complicated or overwhelming. For today, resist the urge to ignore it all or dive in to fix everything. Start by taking a moment to check in with yourself. If you could reset one thing about your finances right now, what would it be? Maybe it’s your spending. Maybe it’s your budget. Maybe you want to save more. Maybe you’re ready to make a payoff plan for your debt. Or maybe you just want to feel like you know what’s going on with your money again. Wherever you are, you can start there. Sometimes all you need is a reset. Jen 💚
