Community Check-In
๐Ÿ“ŒOne thing I've learned about business is that growth doesn't happen by trying to work on everything at once. The businesses that grow the fastest are usually led by people who know exactly what they're focused on right now. ๐Ÿ“ŒYou don't need to master everything this month. You don't need the perfect website, perfect content, perfect branding, and perfect systems all at the same time. ๐Ÿ“ŒYou just need to identify the next thing that will move your business forward and commit to it. Small steps completed consistently will always outperform big goals with no action behind them. โœ…So let's check in. Click Photo Below ๐Ÿ‘‡

New Trimmers ๐Ÿ”ฅ are they worth it!?
I posted a reel that talks about The Cut Buddy trimmers. These are budget friendly only $25!!!! ๐Ÿ”—https://amzn.to/4wGQ2q3 ๐Ÿ“ŒI couldnโ€™t pass up buying a pair, simply because they were pocket size and CORDLESS!!! Yes! And I am a GOLD fan so they caught my eye! ๐Ÿ“ŒStraight out of the box I was speechless but I had to put them to the test. I compared them to my Andis T-Outliners. Watch the video here ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ https://youtube.com/shorts/2DRo9gnB9qE?is=cKuNPdu59jLIngfL ๐Ÿ“ŒThe company advertise that they come zero gapped meaning they should be sharp and doesnโ€™t need any adjustments. Now to say theyโ€™re small, I couldnโ€™t believe they included guards. So that is a BONUS! ๐Ÿ“ŒFrom a professional stand point, I would only use these as backup trimmers or to use for a quick trim. Preferably, I like my salon tools to feel like HIGH QUALITY. These feel like a toy trimmer for a rookie. They are indeed perfect for traveling, quick maintenance but not for heavy duty jobs. As you know weave dull out your blades so over time I donโ€™t see them lasting that long. But for the price you can always buy another pair. ๐Ÿ“ŒAs I was trimming I noticed that it just wasnโ€™t giving me that sharp lining without me having to go back over it 3-4 times to make sure the lining was crispy. So I did go to my Andis-T Outliners. But overall I do feel like it is worth having a pair for โ€œconvenience, traveling, light jobs or backupโ€ ๐Ÿ“ŒCutting weave is different than cutting natural hair. I donโ€™t think you would get a crispy lining on natural Hair as you would with weave.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Letโ€™s Talk Booking Sites!
What booking platform are you currently using for your business? - โœจ Acuity - โœจ GlossGenius - โœจ StyleSeat - โœจ Booksy - โœจ Square - โœจ Vagaro - โœจ Your Own Website Scheduler - โœจIโ€™m old school, manually scheduling clients What do you love about it and what you wish it did better. ๐Ÿ’กYour booking site is more than just a calendar, itโ€™s part of your client experience and your brand. The right platform can help you: - โœ… Collect deposits - โœ… Reduce no-shows - โœ… Keep client information organized - โœ… Automate reminders - โœ… Save time by letting clients book themselves - Not every platform is built the same, so itโ€™s important to choose one that fits your workflow, not just whatโ€™s popular: โœ๏ธI use Acuity Scheduling The biggest reason I chose Acuity is because clients can upload photos when they book. Since I REQUIRE clients to send a photo of their hair and what they would like to have done prior to booking. THIS IS A MUST!! This feature is a deal breaker. It saves time and helps me prepare before my client ever walks through the door. I also like the personalization. You can customize quite a bit, and the pricing is reasonable for everything thatโ€™s included. Now, is it my favorite? No. I think the backend could be organized much better. The layout is pretty basic, and while thatโ€™s great if you donโ€™t want anything complicated, I do wish it felt more modern. I also think they could do a better job with marketing features specifically for beauty professionals. Overall, itโ€™s a solid platform that gets the job done and offers a lot of flexibility. But if I had a choice it would definitely be GlossGenius hands down! ๐Ÿ“ŒIt almost gives you the feel of having your own website without actually building one. The booking experience is beautiful, the service menu looks professional, and the overall branding is hard to beat. ๐Ÿ“ŒThe only reason I donโ€™t currently use it is because clients canโ€™t upload photos during the booking process. For my business, thatโ€™s a deal-breaker. If you need inspiration photos, current hair photos, or consultation images, your clients have to send them separately by email, text, or another form, which creates an extra step.
