What a blood sugar reading means, and what it doesn't
Blood sugar readings don’t measure success or failure. They measure response.
A spike simply means your body responded to a specific set of inputs at that moment.
Those inputs may include:
  • Food type or portion
  • Meal timing
  • Sleep quality
  • Stress load
  • Illness or inflammation
  • Recent or intense exercise
Blood sugar doesn’t lie — but it also doesn’t judge.
The purpose of a CGM is not to avoid spikes at all costs. It’s to identify patterns, isolate variables, and test modifications.
Spikes are information.Information is how you learn what works for your physiology.
Getting frustrated with the data doesn’t change it.Using it does.
