Today, as I sit in my new home with a big garden (and a very happy dog!), I feel deeply grateful. For the past five years, I built my woodworking business in a humble Berlin apartment in a not-so-fancy neighborhood.
It wasn’t always easy. I had to close my woodshop for my health and family, earn my carpentry diploma, and even worked as a cleaning lady for a year. There were many moments when I wanted to cry and give up. But every difficulty also introduced me to amazing people who helped me keep believing in what’s possible.
Looking back, I wouldn’t trade those challenges. If life had just been a comfy Netflix binge, I wouldn’t be who I am today.
I’m sharing this because I see so many talented, creative migrant women going through hardships, often struggling to believe that positive change is possible for them. I want you to know: it is. Growth often hides inside difficulties, and your dreams are worth holding onto.
