Sometimes singers become so focused on “doing everything right” that the voice starts to lose freedom.
They think about the breath.
The jaw.
The tongue.
The support.
The vowels.
The resonance.
And suddenly, singing becomes a checklist.
Of course technique matters.
But good technique should eventually give you more freedom , not more "absolute control".
This is something I work on constantly with singers: finding the point where technical awareness supports the voice instead of interfering with it.
