Rest is not always stopping.
Sometimes rest is realizing the current has changed.
The rapids may have required vigilance, effort, quick correction, and constant response.
But calm water asks for something different.
A softer grip. A slower steer. A willingness to be carried.
We can become so practiced at surviving that we keep paddling long after the emergency has passed.
Rest can be the moment we notice:
I do not have to fight this water anymore.
I can breathe here. I can look around. I can feel the movement beneath me without controlling every inch of it.
Rest is not losing direction.
It is allowing support to exist.
🌊 Steer slow. Let the water carry you.
