What Did You Notice Today?
🪟 What Did You Notice Today? In Symbolic Literacy, we practice observation before interpretation. Today, share one thing you noticed. It can be: A conversation A dream A meme A coincidence A TV show moment A symbol A feeling Something from everyday life Before explaining what it means, simply describe what you observed. Then ask: What information might still be missing? This is a practice in: 🪟 Waterproof Window 📡 Signal & Substrate ℹ️ Missing Information 🎲 Secular Play The goal isn't to be right. The goal is to notice more.

Today I watched Snowball (my white kitty) curled against my neck in our little liminal space. Observation: complete trust. First interpretation: comfort. Missing information: perhaps he was simply warm, sleepy, or seeking security. Symbolic Literacy asks me to hold all possibilities for a moment before choosing a story.
🌳 One of the core ideas behind Symbolic Literacy:
Symbols stop being private experiences and become communicable knowledge. A dream. A story. A pattern. A feeling. A moment that seems meaningful. At first, it belongs only to us. But when we learn to observe, reflect, connect, and express what we discover, those experiences can become something others can learn from too. This is one of the reasons I created Symbolic Literacy. Not to tell people what symbols mean. But to help build bridges between personal experience and shared understanding. 🌳📜✨

@Eva Savicki Thank you, Eva. 😊🌳📜 What you described is actually very close to where Symbolic Literacy begins. In my experience, pattern recognition and insight often come naturally. The skill we develop here is learning to slow down, observe more clearly, and explore meaning without rushing to conclusions. I'm glad you're here, and I look forward to learning alongside you. ✨
🌳 Symbolic Literacy is beginning to take root.
🌳🌿 Today I finished the Foundations course and started adding artwork, reflections, and visual pathways to each lesson. What started as notes, observations, dreams, symbols, and conversations is slowly becoming something people can walk through and experience for themselves. One thing I've learned along the way: Symbolic Literacy is not about telling people what symbols mean. It's about learning how to observe. How to notice. How to stay curious. How to see before interpreting. The Foundations course now includes: 🌳 Welcome to Symbolic Literacy 🪞 Observation Lab ❓ Curiosity Before Certainty 🌀 Signal & Substrate 👁️ Observe Before Interpret Little by little, the tree grows. Thank you to everyone following along as this project comes into reality. 🌿📜✨

Welcome to Symbolic Literacy 🌳
Thank you for being here. This community was created for curious minds interested in patterns, symbols, stories, dreams, systems, archetypes, and meaning-making. I'd love to know: What brought you here? - Symbols? - Dreams? - Tarot? - Astrology? - Psychology? - Systems Thinking? - Storytelling? - Something else entirely? - Introduce yourself below and tell us what you're curious about. 🌱 Because curiosity is where literacy begins.
