My inspiration that turned to Revelation last week:
If I am made in the image of God, that means I can operate from any of the 4 faces at any given time.
Lion, ox, eagle, or man.
Each face has certain strengths that represent God and help me to get through a specific time or season in my life.
I am naturally an eagle but that doesn't mean I can't learn the skill of operating in all 4 faces.
Being well equipped means to have the skill to operate in any of the faces.
Last week I struggled to stay positive about a sh*t ton of things that were happening all at once. I wanted to say there is no possible way I can do everything.
Than I thought of the ox. The commitment and the ability to stay calm and steady under pressure. The peaceful nature of the ox that helps it to accomplish a sh*t ton of things without getting discouraged or burned out.
So I said to myself, "my strengths this week will be drawn from the ox." I will lean into the pressure and commit to stay calm and steady and peaceful. I will accomplish everything and more that I need to by tapping into the strengths of the ox."
I did. And it was the best weekend ever. Ox strengths didn't come naturally to me, but the more I lean into the different strengths, the more it begins to become second nature.
This is also what it means to become a partaker of His divine nature. ( somewhere in the Bible)
Identify the time or season you're in and see which of the 4 faces you can grow in and/ or draw the most strengths from.
In this way, we also become an "image- bearers " of God.
What strengths are you operating in right now? Do you need to lean into a strength that maybe doesn't come naturally to you, but it's there for you to draw from?
