I doubled my leads by deleting THIS from all my LinkedIn hooks
I almost gave up on LinkedIn after posting daily for 3 months with zero leads. That was until I discovered this one brutal truth... My hooks were scaring people away. Once I realised how to write good hooks, I went from 0 to 12 calls booked in just 1 week. I see this all the time. People pour their heart and soul into crafting the perfect LinkedIn post, only to have it disappear into the void. Zero comments. Minimal likes. No shares. Here's the brutal truth: Most people spend 90% of their time writing the body of their post… and only 10% crafting the hook. This is a massive mistake. Because if your hook doesn't stop the scroll, nobody will ever see the value content that you spent so long writing. The 5-Minute Hook Formula That Changed Everything After years of trial and error, here's the exact process I now use for every single post: 1) Write 5-10 different hooks for every post (yes, really) Most people write one hook and call it done. Winners know that your first idea is rarely your best. 2) Use curiosity, controversy, or contradiction The best hooks make people think "Wait, what?" They create a knowledge gap that can only be filled by reading more. 3) Test & tweak constantly What worked last month won't necessarily work today. The algorithm and audience preferences evolve constantly. Examples That Stop The Scroll Every Time Here are three real hooks that consistently drive massive engagement: 🔹 "I ignored LinkedIn for a year. Here's what happened…" (Curiosity: What happened? Was it good or bad?) 🔹 "Most networking advice is completely wrong." (Controversy: Wait, am I doing it wrong? I need to know more...) 🔹 "I grew my business without cold outreach. Here's how." (Contradiction: Challenges what most people believe is necessary) Every one of these hooks makes you want to read more. Writing good hooks isn’t easy… It takes time at first. That’s why I’ve put together 150+ viral hooks for you to use for free inside the classroom.
Feeling stuck with endless to-do lists and zero progress?
A student recently asked me about this, and I wanted to share my simple yet extremely practical approach with the group. It’s simple, actionable, and game-changing: It's called: The 3 Things Method. Why It Works... Most people fail to get things done because they’re juggling too much. By focusing on just three high-impact tasks daily, you ensure consistent progress without burnout. How It Works... 1) Choose Three Tasks Daily: - One small task - One medium task - One big task These tasks should align with your goals and move the needle in your business. 2) Prioritize Completion: - Tackle the biggest task first if possible. - Don’t go to bed until all three tasks are done. 3) Celebrate Progress: - If you finish early, reward yourself! Take the rest of the day off or keep going if you’re on a roll. The Results... At the end of the week, you’ll have completed 21 meaningful tasks. This is a stark contrast to the overwhelm of a 30-item list with nothing checked off. Bonus Tips... - Use Time Blocking: Add these tasks to your calendar, especially during open time slots. - Estimate Time Realistically: If a task feels big, break it into manageable steps or treat it as your main focus for the day. - Stay Flexible: Adjust your three things daily based on priorities, but keep the list short and focused. Your Challenge... Start tomorrow! Write down your three tasks, and don’t stop until they’re done. Then share your results here, I’d love to hear about your wins! Consistency beats perfection every time. Let’s make 2025 the year we stay consistent and crush our goals together. 💪 What’s your top "big task" for tomorrow? Drop it in the comments! 👇 D.
Scared to send DMs? You're killing your business.
DMs are the most underused goldmine on LinkedIn yet most people are scared to use them. - “What if I come off as spammy?” - “I don’t know what to say.” - “Cold outreach doesn't work.” I hear this all the time. And I used to feel the same way. Then I learned this: Your goal isn’t to sell... it’s to start a conversation. Here's how I get replies (without being spammy): 1) Personalize every message. Mention something specific from their profile. 2) Start with curiosity: “Saw your recent post—what inspired that?” 3) Offer value first. Share a tip, idea, or resource that helps them. The result? Genuine conversations that lead to business opportunities. But before all of this, you need to get VERY clear on who you're helping and how you help them. This is why your 20-minute strategy call is so important. It's your chance to get a bespoke game plan from someone who has coached 100s of others to achieve LinkedIn success. Your Profile Is Losing You Clients (Here’s How to Fix It)
When was the last time you updated your LinkedIn profile? If it’s been more than a month, you’re leaving money on the table. Think of your profile as your digital storefront. If it doesn’t immediately show: 1️⃣ Who you are 2️⃣ What you do 3️⃣ How you help people You’re losing potential clients before they even consider working with you. Here’s a quick 10-minute fix: - Headline: Clearly state who you help and the outcome you deliver (e.g., “I help coaches book more clients through LinkedIn without paid ads”). - About Section: Share your story. Why do you do what you do? End with a strong call-to-action (CTA). - Banner: Use it to showcase your offer, a testimonial, or a free resource. Pro Tip: End your About section with a question like: “Curious how I can help you grow your business? Let’s chat.” Your Challenge: Take 10 minutes today to optimize your headline and About section. Then drop your updated headline below for feedback. Let’s make your profile work for you, not against you. 💪 P.S If you want a full guide, you can grab it NOW in the "Bonuses" section of the classroom. > Grab the full guide Peace and Love, D.
Stop trying to talk to everyone on LinkedIn.
A new student recently asked me this: “How do I make LinkedIn work for me when it feels like I’m just shouting into the void?” It’s a great question, and I thought it’s something worth sharing with everyone here. The key is this... Stop trying to talk to everyone on LinkedIn. When I first started on LinkedIn, I was all over the place. ❌ I tried to appeal to every audience. ❌ My posts were a mix of random topics. ❌ My DMs were full of people who weren’t my ideal clients. The result? Confusion.. not conversions. Here's what changed everything: ✅ I got crystal clear on who I help. ✅ I spoke their language (no fluff, just value). ✅ I optimized my profile so they knew I was for them. Now, I don’t just get engagement. I get clients. You don’t need more followers, likes or reposts. You just need the right people following you. What’s your niche or target audience? Share it below, and I’ll give you a tip to help 🤘
