Monday Myth Pigmentation Edition
Myth: If you exfoliate more, your pigmentation will fade faster. Truth: Over-exfoliating can actually make pigmentation worse. When the skin barrier becomes irritated or inflamed, it can trigger the skin to produce more pigment, not less. This is especially common with conditions like melasma or post-inflammatory pigmentation. The key to improving pigmentation is a balanced approach:• Gentle skin renewal• Barrier-supporting skincare• Brightening ingredients• Daily SPF protection Healthy, supported skin responds much better to pigmentation treatments than stressed or over-exfoliated skin. 💛 Question for you:Have you ever tried exfoliating more to fix pigmentation?

Myth Monday: Pigmentation Edition
Pigmentation is one of the most misunderstood skin concerns, and there are a lot of myths floating around online. Myth:“Pigmentation will fade on its own if you just exfoliate enough.” Truth:Pigmentation is not simply a buildup of dead skin cells. It occurs when specialised skin cells called melanocytes produce excess melanin. This can be triggered by several factors, including: ☀️ Sun exposure 🔥 Heat 🧬 Hormonal changes ⚡ Inflammation in the skin (such as acne) Because of this, treating pigmentation effectively often requires a combination of the right skincare ingredients, sun protection, and sometimes professional treatments. Over-exfoliating can actually irritate the skin and stimulate melanocytes further, which may make pigmentation worse.

Monday Myths
One of the biggest misconceptions I see after 27 years working with skin is this: 👉 Most people think acne is just about oily skin. But in reality, acne is often connected to things like: • A damaged skin barrier• Over-exfoliation• Hormonal changes• Incorrect skincare products• Internal triggers like stress or diet This is why simply using “acne products” doesn’t always fix the problem. Healthy skin starts with understanding what is actually causing the breakouts. Inside this community I’ll be sharing tips on how to identify the real triggers behind your skin concerns so you can treat them properly. ✨ Question for you:Have you ever tried lots of acne products and still struggled with breakouts?
