REALLY...do you want to be there?
DO YOU THINK something else could be better now? And really, how long has it been. I got a notification today that one of the groups here is moving to another platform. They had only been here a few weeks. It comes down to "HOW WAS THE DECISION MADE, in the first place?" In this case the decision was short term and uncommitted. Creating easy break points. In this short attention span economy, I think long term, all in, and risky decisions are rarely made. I see this in me when I travel. When packing, I think "don't worry about the details." If you don't have it, you can just buy it when you get there. Though I think this is a help to my sanity, it isn't. Why do I do this? 🙄 I don't want to exert the energy 🙈 I put off a current decision for a future one 🍭 It's easier 💅 I don't think it will matter, ultimately. But what do I buy with this - - - WORRY - Excessive Pre-planning for a fail, - DISTRACTION (even every so slight) - and possibly a Panicked change later By not choosing to pause and just complete the task, it becomes unending. Marketing can be the same: Easy in, Worry, Easy out We need to help prospects make better decisions my helping them understand more about us, our solutions and where to go from here. - Help them understand who you: so they can identify you are their people - Talk from their pain: so they know you you understand them - Talk about the other side: so they know this is what they want - Talk about the partnership: so they know they are not in this alone - Show them the next step: so they know where to confidently go When you cover this "LOOKING for that OUT" isn't an option because they know You can help. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Want to know more? Contact vs. Connections...
Real Friends. Recently, I had a VC with a new networking contact. Networking for me had been a disappointing challenge until recently. Deciding to shed everything for RV life a few years ago, she physically left a town she had built a business in for over 15 years. Well networked with these people for over a decade she told me how surprised she was that ONCE SHE LEFT TOWN PHYSICALLY, those people stopped reaching out. Those supposed friends just walked away. And they stopped sending her business. The business did not require her to be seen in person, and yet, out of sight out of mind immediately set in. "I thought they were my friends." She lamented. Our new networking group, which is how we met in the last week feel much different. It feels real. It is generous and everyone i've met so far sincerely wants to help me and connect me. Which they have followed through on. It is an odd experience. During our VC, she assured me it would continue. She joined a few years ago and told me she found true friendship through this group. People who do order and connect her, but also connect when there is no business to discuss. Shallow Business networking, I think is a fair reflection of life for most of us out in the world. A world full of contacts, but most even personal, lack any true and reciprocal connection...care for one another. It's time we expect more of each other. Not every person is our people. But every one of us wants to be in community with our people. Don't stick in the shallows my friends... TRY AGAIN to find your people in your life and in business. They are out there hoping you will show up to be supportive, stack the odds in each others' favors, and in the end and together you will create your tribe of "your people". How do you break in and change a mind?
Grabbing someone's attention is not as much about the splash as the acknowledgement of pain. Think about it: ✅ When you are looking to entertain out of town guests ✅ Fill a financial event ✅ Find prospects for your Law Office or ✅ Find investors for your next project You have a question circling in your brain non-stop, seeking an answer. AND when you sees the answer, the shift starts to happen. You can feel it happen. You decide to lean in seeking more information. The secret is to speak to that pain/question/need the way "they do" and then, share what the next step is to explore the solution. If this speaks to you and you want to figure out how to find that top of funnel attraction, BOOK A CALL HERE https://wix.to/4r9Kae9 and let's talk about how to Attract Prospects, Build Trust, & Engaged Clients www.engagedmarketing. co #marketing+sales #engagedmarketing #sales #annettewalters #leadgeneration
