Your homework - Create a template in your Daw. Any daw is fine. Go to https://beat-battle.net/ and do a few competitions to get used to the platform and the process.

Template: To make the most out of your 10 or 15 minute production game, I would suggest creating a template. Here's an idea of a template

Add a channel strip like this to all channels or groups

Audio and MIDI track - Sampler, Synth, EQ, Compression, EQ, Reverb, Compression, EQ.

Drum Group: Kick, Snare, Hats/Cymbals, Percussion
SIDECHAIN
Midbass Group: Intro bass, Build bass, Drop Basses (4)
Sub
Keyboard Group: Pad, Chords, Pluck, Leads, layers
Guitars: Chords, lead, bass guitar, layers
Effects Group: Risers (8)
Vocal Group: Lead, harmonies, layers.
