Confidence isn’t something players switch on during a game.
It’s something they either develop… or lose in training.
Most players already have the talent, skill or motivation to be there.
However, if players lack confidence, skills take a fair knock under pressure.
And that’s the hard truth:
Confidence is shaped by the environment we create as coaches.
The words we use.
The way we react to mistakes.
What we choose to reward / ignore.
All of it adds up.
So before asking,
“Why are they not performing?”
Ask:
“Am I helping them believe they can?”
