Small deeds can go a long, long way. A couple of years ago, I gave a friend a coloring book. He's an artist, and at that time, he didn't have the money to buy the coloring book, but it was a very special coloring book that he could only get at that time, and probably he would not have gotten that book in the future, even if he had the money. He'd probably forget or something similar to that. I knew this. So I bought him that coloring book at that time and I gifted it to him. And I totally forgot about it.
Now, yesterday I got a package from him. He said he wanted me to look at this thing and give my opinion. So I had no idea what it was. I opened it and it turned out to be this beautiful painting that he did for me. And it took him a couple of years to actually do it. Of course, he did it in his free time. That's why it took so long. But it's just amazing. And he actually went and got a specialist to put a frame around it.
He told me that after he got that book, things changed for him. He rediscovered his artistic side, and it helped him in different ways. And that's why he started thinking of a way to give back. That's when he decided to do the painting for me. The painting is amazing.
We both practice Falun Dafa, which is a Chinese meditation practice that is heavily persecuted in China. And Because of that this painting has an additional layer of meaning to me.
So I just wanted to share this with all of you. I hope you're having a wonderful Friday.
